"Even though they are 50 miles from our home, we went to Fairfax because they had the Optima Hybrid in the color and with the options we wanted, and the price over the phone sounded right. When we got there, we learned our car had been rear-ended during a test drive but was coming out of the body shop the next day. Kia had put a new bumper on it, and Fairfax took that into consideration on the price. We agreed on a price and to come back the next day for a test drive and to finish the paperwork. When we got there the next day, we were told that the body shop had left the doors open for weeks while working on it and the power drain had destroyed the Hybrid battery (and you just can't swap out batteries in these things) so they had to get a new battery from the factory which could take months. So another car just like we wanted was on their inventory and scheduled to arrive the following week. To take advantage of the $2000 in incentives that were going to expire that weekend, we signed all the paperwork with the understanding that Fairfax would deliver the car to us. Well, the day our car was to be delivered, Fairfax called and said our car did not come in but another identical one (the third car, now) they were not expecting did. But that meant we had to return to the dealership to redo all of the paperwork; not happy! But we did and during the test drive, we verified that all of the options we wanted were listed on the window sticker, though we did not take the time to verify they were all actually installed. To Fairfax's credit, they had all of the paperwork pre-done and it took less than 5 minutes for us to sign it. (Contrary to some of the other reviews, we thought the business manager provided exceptional service.) The next day it was 93 degrees when I got in the car so I wanted to turn on the cooled seats. That's when we discovered that even though listed on the window sticker as an installed option, there was no switch installed for it in our car. We called Fairfax and after sending them pictures, they went above and beyond by convincing our local Kia dealer to look at the issue instead of making us return to Fairfax AGAIN. Turns out that the factory in Korea installed the wrong console in our Hybrid. Our local dealer simply replaced the console (which contained the cooled seat switch) and everything works fine. The point to all of this is that NONE of these issues were Fairfax's fault. Yet KC, Bryant, and Matt on the sales staff all took ownership of these issues and saw them through to a successful conclusion, and we are happy customers. We definitely would recommend them." - kia4life
