Arriving in dealerships in limited quantity with a MSRP of just $17,9004, the Rio SX M/T is a fun-to-drive subcompact that satisfies enthusiasts' desires for a more engaging drive experience without sacrificing the comfort and convenience offered by the subcompact model's highest trim level. The Rio SX M/T is inspired by Kia's championship winning motorsports efforts and the recently-introduced Rio B-spec race car. Enthusiasts should get in line now as less than 500 Rio SX M/Ts will be initially offered for sale during the 2013 model year.

The Rio 5-door SX M/T comes standard with a class-leading 138 horsepower5 4-cylinder double- overhead cam gasoline direct-injection (GDI) engine featuring dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) and fuel economy of 30-mpg city/40-mpg highway6. The Rio 5-door SX M/T is available in Signal Red and Electronic Blue and comes with LED taillights, front LED accent lights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the Rio SX M/T adds a seven-inch navigation touch screen with a SiriusXM™7 Traffic system and push-button start with Smart Key. Other standard SX features include sport-tuned suspension, rear camera display8, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, Bluetooth®9 wireless technology, and an AM/FM/CD/ MP3 SiriusXM Satellite audio system. The interior is handsomely appointed in sporty black knit cloth.

The kit includes everything needed to transform the street-loving Rio 5-door into a proper racecar: pre-cut roll cage, racing seat, quick-release steering wheel, racing harness, race shocks, lightweight wheels, spec-series tires, oil sump pan expansion kit and complete build instructions. "I can only speak about their service department as we bought our Kia elsewhere. I typically avoid dealer service like the plague as I have rarely, if ever, had a positive experience with a dealership repair, but these folks surprised me. We had two repairs done at the same time, one because we could only get the parts though the dealer. The cost for the first repai was actually less than my regular mechanic was going to charge ( if he could get the part) and the cost of the 2nd was just $80 more than my guy quoted. They gave us a loaner for the day while doing the repair. I was late ( after service center closing) in my pickup and they stayed the extra 10 minutes it took to get through traffic. The guy who checked me out was courteous and asked me if I had any questions. My kid left video game parts in the loaner and they rescued them for him. I am happy with the repairs and several days later we got a Robocall from the dealership making sure we were happy and didn't have any concerns. (If you do it patches you through or records your complaint, IDK we didn't need it) I didn't give 5 stars because, well, it's a dealership and frankly it's a lot for me to even bother to write a review, but these guys might just change my mind about dealership service. Hopefully I won't need service soon, but yeah I would consider going back and from me, that's saying a lot." - GJ I.
